FRIED CREAM
To us it may seem strange, but in the traditional cuisine was not uncommon to have a mix of sweet and savory also in the appetizers. This is the case of the cubes of fried cream (in dialect called gnocchetti) from the beginning, around the year 1800, juxtaposed with stuffed olives and part of the fritto misto all’ascolana. It is precisely custard, only breaded and fried in abundant vegetable oil.
Two minutes in the microwave and you can enjoy a curiosity that you can find only in the Marche Region.
